Projects

Here are some of the social projects that I am involved with

my world, my choice!
my world, my choice! (MWMC) began in Bangalore, India in 2008 when Kurt teamed up with Ricky to develop a low cost, high impact sustainability literacy program for teens and young professionals. Through mentor led sessions students get to interact and experience what is takes to make a more sustainable decision in our day and age. The goal is to give students the basic literacy, so that instead of telling them to turn the tap off while brushing their teeth, they are constantly coming up with innovative solutions to water conservation. MWMC is now based in 5 countries, and has impacted well over 4200 youth and 177 mentors.

Sustainable Pakistan
In 2009 Kurt returned to Pakistan and helped to lay the foundations for the Pakistan Sustainability Network. Today 100s of youth volunteers are organizing various events around raising awareness about sustainability. PSN has established itself as a think tank, educator and green business networking hub. In 2011, PSN introduced the first city hub that actively recruits university and high school students to lead the charge toward a more sustainable future.

Meaningful Work Project
The Meaningful Work Project is described as an experiential learning experience and a community of practice where story telling is a modality for inspiration. Since the programs inception in 2008, Kurt has helped advise and support the founder Alla Guelber who developed the project based in Calgary, Canada. The project works with individuals to help determine what drives them both personally and professionally with the hope of inspiring action toward the kind of professional career that is both fulfilling and enriching.
